Are there any age restrictions?

ATX tour packages are aimed at and designed for people aged 18-38 years. This allows for an experience with those of similar age.

What's included in the price of the Tour Packages?

All accommodation during your tour
All transport in a private air-conditioned van/bus
The services of a professionally-trained tour leaders
All necessary camping equipment including tents, backpack, mess kits, camp lights, emergency poncho, snorkel kit, life vest and other camp accessories
Admission to all National Parks, Theme Parks and monuments as listed in the itinerary
Included activities unique to each ATX tour
Breakfast and Dinner inclusive each tour day
Admission to Nightclubs, Parties, Bars and other paid social events (day/night).

Is it cheaper to travel independently?

The costs of independent travel can really start to add up. Once you consider everything such as accommodation, food, national park entrance fees, excursions, road tolls, bus passes and local taxis or car hire and fuel, the cost can surpass one’s estimation easily. With a local guide with you who’s familiar the area knowing a selection of the best spots and sharing that with others on a group tour offers the best for both budget and company.

I am travelling on my own. Will I be the only one?

No. The majority of the people travelling with us are on their own. Our trips are a great way to travel safely and meet other like-minded, adventurous people from all over the world and we do not charge single supplements.

What if I haven't camped before?

Made easy are the efforts of your tour leaders, who’ll ensure you get the ease of setting up your tent and relaxing under the stars and how to use other camping equipment. Your first time experience while unfamiliar can become your most favoured activity as the experience of sleeping outdoors is like no other. You are peered with a member of the same sex or unless both parties wish to share otherwise. For those who want added comfort, you can add to your tour package a self-inflatable air mattress (at an extra cost – TOUR EXTRAS).

What facilities are at the campsite?

All our trips use both National Parks and public/government land/campsites and also a wide assortment of private campgrounds. Not all will have built showers and flush toilets; some will even have swimming pools, bars and laundry facilities on site while others will accentuate the natural beauty of the area and thus tend to be more rustic. We keep "roughing it" to a minimum

Will there be showers and toilets at the campsites?

Most campgrounds will have flush toilets and showers. Other campsites ATX will provide the best facility based on the restriction upon them.

How fit should I be?

Anyone in reasonably good health can join our trips. Some activities on tour are geared at on foot expeditions and is best required getting medical clearance from a physician before participation. Most National Parks offer a variety of hiking trails that suit all levels of adventure and fitness. Many other activities do not require previous experience and are not fitness related.
